Hello lovely people. I hope you are having a great Monday. I ran into a friend yesterday at Starbucks, and he asked me for some music recommendations. It was the second time that day that I talked about how much I love sharing music with people (LEGALLY) and how much I love learning about what kind of music people like. So I'm committing to bringing back Music Monday. I hope that as I share music with you, that you'll share it with me. Today it is rainy and gross here. Which in my mind fits in perfectly with today's Music Monday recommendation:
The Lone Bellow
The Lone Bellow is a folk-rock band, hailing from the south, but now living in Brooklyn. They've been featured on NPR, played Conan. In other words, they're a group to know about. ;)
Their music and lyrics are sorrowful and yet full of redemption and hope. In fact, the lead singer Zach Williams started writing when his wife was temporarily paralyzed in an accident. Love, grief, hope and spirituality are at the core of their music.
Here is an acoustic version of their song, "You Never Need Nobody."
If you don't know about them yet, you should. Check out the rest of their album on Spotify.
